Buddy keeps your vault on your own machine, encrypted with Argon2 and XChaCha20-Poly1305. No account, no server, no subscription.

• Local encrypted vault. One file on your machine, and as many vaults as you want.
• Unlock with Touch ID or Windows Hello, or your master password. Locks on sleep, on idle, and from the tray menu (Cmd/Ctrl+L).
• Built-in TOTP, including reading a code straight off a QR on your screen, so your phone stays out of it.
• Entries are built from sections. Start one from a login, payment card, address, or SSH key, name it what you like, and add your own fields. Two logins on one entry is just two sections.
• Encrypted file attachments, search, filtering, and tags.
• Multi-select batch actions, including move, copy, add or remove tags, and archive.
• Password generator, random or memorable, with entropy shown. Weak and reused passwords get flagged.
• Automatic clipboard clearing, automatic backups, and an automatic update check.
• Import from 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Keeper, LastPass, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or a plain CSV, with the format detected for you. Export to ZIP for full fidelity, or CSV for portability.
• 13 languages, including German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
• Light, dark, and system themes; adjustable zoom; keyboard shortcuts.
